On Saturday 18th January we ran a drop in workshop at Manchester Museum. The workshop was part of a wider well-being event– raising awareness of skills and actions people can do that can help save money and reuse/ recycle what they have.
At one of our Re Do your Denim workshops, participants can bring their own denim items, or work on a sample we provide. They’ll learn how to use various sewing techniques to mend their denim in a way that adds their own individuality to their wardrobe, while also enabling them to be worn for longer.
Here an appliqued patch and embroidered pockets transform a denim pinafore.
Siblings Harrison and Jenna each made a patch with their initials on as well as adding detail to the amazing reclaimed animal fabric they used.
It was wonderful to meet a craft group from Leigh who travelled to Manchester Museum to take part.
This family came all the way from the North East, were visiting family, and popped in for the free sustainability workshops.
Thanks again to Manchester Museum for having us for these wellbeing workshops.
If your organisation would like us to run a similar workshop, get in touch via our booking form.
