At our January workshops helped make a garland of pirate-themed bunting, repaired loose buttons on a much-loved cardigan and presented several certificates for those who passed our sewing machine driving test.

For February, we read through your suggestions and decided to include workshops for making specific items. Our workshops are:
UPCYCLING WORKSHOP
Saturday 1 February, 1pm-4pm. £25, including materials and equipment.
Bring your own upcycling project to work on with the assistance of a Stitched Up tutor in this beginner-level class.
MAKE A SHOPPER BAG
Saturday 8 February, 1pm-4pm. £25, including materials and equipment.
Learn to make your own upcycled shopper bag with the assistance of a Stitched Up tutor in this beginner-level class.
MAKE A CUSHION COVER
Saturday 15 February, 1pm-4pm. £25, including materials and equipment.
Learn to make your own upcycled cushion cover with the assistance of a Stitched Up tutor in this beginner-level class.
AFTER SCHOOL CLUB
Every Thursday, 3pm-5pm. £5 per child (accompanied by an adult).
Get crafty at Stitched Up’s weekly after school club! A fun and creative club suitable for ages 6+ with an adult.
NEW TO KNITTING
Every Friday. Hour-long sessions booked by appointment (just send an email). £12 including materials.
FIX IT FRIDAY
Every Friday, 2pm-4pm. £10, including equipment.
Learn to make minor clothing repairs such as sewing on a missing button, replacing a broken zip or patching holey jeans. Let us know what you’re bringing to fix when you book.
PASS YOUR SEWING MACHINE DRIVING TEST
Sunday 9 February, 1pm-3pm and Sunday 16 February, 1pm-3pm. £20 including materials and equipment.
Afraid of sewing machines, or dangerous at the wheel? Come and do our 2-hour crash course and come away with a load more confidence, plus a certificate and an appliqued ‘L’ plate!

SIX ITEMS CHALLENGE STYLING EVENING
Thursday 13 February, 6pm-9pm. £6 including refreshments and a goodie bag.
Stitched Up are hosting a unique styling evening in aid of the brilliant garment workers campaign group Labour Behind the Label (LBL). The event will give an intro to LBL’s work and their Six Items Challenge, where dedicated ethical fashionistas get sponsored to wear only six items for six weeks! Be inspired by some thrifty styling tips from Stitched Up and share your own ideas for making the most of a teensy tiny wardrobe.
SWAP
Saturday 22 February, 1pm-4pm. £6 including refreshments.
Our popular clothes swap event returns on a Saturday afternoon for February. Bring along a maximum of six garments to swap for something you do want.
CRAFTERNOON
Sunday 23 February, 1.30pm-3.30pm. £3 donation to cover refreshments.
A monthly social for crafters. Bring along the craft project you’re currently working on – be it knitting or cross-stitching – and enjoy a chat with some like-minded folk.
