New year, new project! We are so excited to share that this year we’ll be kicking off our ReThread Hubs Project, thanks to funding from The National Lottery Community Fund.
This project has been living rent-free in our brains for a good few years now, and we’re so happy to be making it happen in 2026!

ReThread Hubs will be hosted in three Manchester libraries, creating a place for the community to gather, learn textile skills, make and mend, swap clothes and make use of reclaimed textiles. Stitched Up will support the set up of each Hub with practical hands-on help, training and resources. The ultimate aim is for the Hubs to become self-sustaining places where the community can meet on a regular basis to share skills, save clothing and textiles from landfill and have a great time doing it!

We’re currently putting the ground work in place, and will soon be reaching out to Libraries and people interested in taking part. If you’re passionate about sustainable textiles, or you know of a local Library that would love to set up a ReThread Hub, now is a perfect time to get in touch! We’d love to hear from you.
Thanks so much to the Lottery for their support of this project, we can’t wait to get going!
