We’re taking a look at some of the team’s favourite moments from 2025 before we gear up for 2026. First, we wanted to earnestly thank you all for your support this year. 2025 has been really tough for Stitched Up in many ways – impacts of the cost of living crisis, rising costs, and funding challenges – and we truly would not still be here without the support of our community. Consider letting someone else know about us this festive season; it really makes a difference!
Bryony – Getting the news that we’ve been awarded funding for our ReThread Hubs – sustainable sewing and textile reuse hubs hosted in libraries. We’re so excited to kick off this project in 2026! Stay tuned for updates. If you know of any Mcr libraries that might be interested in linking up, let us know!

Jo – So if I have to pick one Dye Garden favourite moment from this year it’s that we actually grew flowers! And that we’ve been able to dry a good amount for use next year.
Other highlights are the field trip to the WOVEN festival in Huddersfield, the workshop at Urmston Grammar School, and plant hammering at Hulme Community Garden Centre’s summer party 🧡

Charlotte – I’m proud of our new Scrapbusting // Knitting for Beginners course which debuted in 2025. Teaching people their new favourite fibre craft, with a textile reuse twist that Stitched Up is famous for. I can’t wait for more sustainable workshops in 2026!
Win – Mine was the Textile Reuse open day – it was really great to gather so many like-minded people in Bridge 5 Mill’s beautiful loft space, we hosted our biggest yard sale of reclaimed fabrics of the year, made up-cycled lanyards and keyrings, chatted about natural dyeing and Textile Reuse and most excitingly launched our Shred Up project. It was really inspiring to hear so many people’s ideas, perspectives and experiences with Textile Reuse in their own lives and was a great jumping off point for Shred Up – keep posted for more updates on the new year!

Sarah – Our exhibition display at Rochdale Pioneers Museum! We’re proud of being a Co-operative, so it was a real honour to be at the home of Co-ops, showcasing what we do to take action on sustainable fashion. Stitched Up have been proud members of the co-operative movement from day one – co-operation is central to everything that we do.

That’s a wrap on 2025! We have events and workshops for January and February already live here for your sustainable fashion year. From all of us at Stitched Up – we wish you a peaceful end of 2025, and a wonderful, sustainable 2026.
