Zero Waste kit-making: upcycled produce & shopping bags [Jan 2021]
Join us to create your own upcycled kit for zero waste living!
We’ll help you to make:
– upcycled drawstring produce bags from repurposed netting, net curtain and tent guy ropes.
– shopping bags from an upcycled tent
– the fabric scrunches up really small so you can keep it in your bag at all times. Never need a carrier bag again!
This is a 2.5 hour workshop and we expect that you’ll take away at least one finished item, but hopefully two – depending how fast you work. Which of the items you make is up to you.
Skills: Using a simple sewing pattern, using a sewing machine and overlocker.
Level: No experience is necessary, but you will find the workshop easier if you have some experience of using a sewing machine.
Bring: Just yourself! If you have fabric you’d like to use then you are welcome to bring that too.
*PLEASE NOTE: As a small not-for-profit cooperative, our time and resources are always stretched to the max. In the event that a workshop is at less than 50% capacity, we will need to reschedule it. If this happens, you’ll be given as much notice as possible and your booking can be transferred to a future date or refunded. We hope you understand and thank you for your support.
