The first half of our 2.5/3 hour workshop will be a presentation by Stitched Up, following the production line of different materials and revealing the impact they have on the planet and the people that live in it. We’ll also explore the changes we can make to take action on sustainable fashion. Then we’ll see what you’ve learned so far with a quickfire quiz.
After a short break both Stitched Up and Plastic Shed will be back for a workshop sharing their knowledge and skills on how to mend, upcycle and reuse materials.

Plastic Shed: Upcycle plastic materials to create a purse.

Learn how to transform soft plastic packaging into a new and strong fabric that you can use to create new useful objects.
We will provide you with a little package to create your wallet at home.
Skills: We will talk you through the different properties of plastic materials , give you a demonstration on how to iron soft plastic packaging safely and correctly and then transform it into a wallet.
With the same skill acquired you will be able to create many more different objects and let the creativity flow free.
