Grab that moth-eaten old sweater and join us at our Stretford Mall Pop Up for a fabulous cosy evening of mending!

Learn to darn and patch your knitwear using a variety of techniques – hand darning, sewing and needle felting. Embrace the wonderful world of visible mending and make a feature of your repairs, or keep it stealthy – it’s up to you!

Depending on the extent of damage on your garment, we might not have time to complete all repair jobs on the day, but you will go home armed with several different skills and a load of inspiration to tackle them yourself.

Skills: Darning, patching and needle felting.

Level: This workshop is suitable for anyone from total beginners upwards.Bring: A holey jumper, sock, scarf or other knitted item if you have one. If you don’t, let us know and we can provide you with a wool sample to practise on, along with all other materials and equipment will be provided, but feel free to bring along some yarn or felting wool if you already have a vision for your repair.

*PLEASE NOTE: As a small not-for-profit cooperative, our time and resources are always stretched to the max. In the event that a workshop is at less than 50% capacity, we will need to reschedule it. If this happens, you’ll be given as much notice as possible and your booking can be transferred to a future date or refunded.
