
**Brand New** Handmade wardrobe 101: bucket Hats [July 2023]
Just completed a beginners sewing course and not quite ready to dare a big sewing project?
Before taking the plunge onto our Garment Making Courses and Weekenders we have launched a new series of beginner friendly workshops. Introducing “Handmade Wardrobe 101”.
Join Stitched Up for day of sewing, learning how to read patterns and practising your new found sewing skills. This month we’ll be measuring and constructing your very own Bucket Hat ready for sunny days!
Skill: Using a pattern, following guided pattern instructions and construction
Level: Adult (aged 17+), Beginner. To join this workshop you need to be familiar with a sewing machine (i.e. threading it up). Not there yet? Complete our three-week or all day beginner courses (view upcoming dates).
Bring: All equipment and some materials provided. You will need bring material for the different projects, but details of what you will need to get can be found below
BUCKET HAT

WHAT YOU NEED:
Fabrics and cottons can be found in our Stretford Mall Shop which can be purchased on the day or prior to the workshop (Our opening times can be found HERE)
– 1 metre of non stretch woven fabric; cotton, cotton blend, light to midweight denim, linen, calico
– Matching thread (We will have threads available for free however if you would like a specific colour we recommend that you purchase this before hand)
*PLEASE NOTE: As a small not-for-profit cooperative, our time and resources are always stretched to the max. In the event that a workshop is at less than 50% capacity, we will need to reschedule it.
