50+ Crafternoons Old Trafford [8 week project]

Starting this October we’re offering a free 8 week course of weekly sewing socials specifically for people aged 50+ in the Old Trafford area.

The ‘50+ Crafternoons’ sessions are a great opportunity to get together with like-minded people and learn and share skills in a fun and relaxing environment. The aim is to connect talented craftspeople of Old Trafford who are aged 50+ by providing a creative space to socialise over a cup of tea.

During the 8 week course, the group will develop their textile craft skills and share skills and ideas with one another. You are welcome either bring along your own craft project to work on, or you can start something new with the support of our facilitator Sarah.

Equipment and materials such as scissors, threads and materials will be provided

The weekly sessions will be held on Monday afternoons at the St John’s Centre in Old Trafford. They are completely free to attend, having been kindly supported by the Ambition for Ageing Fund. After the 8 weeks are up, the group will be encouraged to self-organise and continue to meet.

50+Crafternoons will be held on Mondays from October 18^th until December from 1-3pm at the St John’s Centre, St John’s Road, Old Trafford, M16 7GX.
