Convivial Clothing: mend-along and discussion

Sewing Cafe Lancaster and Stitched Up are delighted to be co-hosting a session at Ethical Consumer Week 2021, hosted by Ethical Consumer Magazine. This year’s theme is ‘Closing the Climate Gap’ – discussing what needs to be done to bridge the gap between the action proposed by governments and businesses, and what needs to be done to limit emissions to as close to pre-industrial levels as possible.

‘Convivial Clothing’ is a mend-along and group discussion on how we might reimagine the fashion industry through the lens of conviviality – as a fun, social, democratic and participatory practice which is beneficial for individuals, local and global societies, and our planet.

The session takes place online at 7pm on Tuesday 19^th October and tickets are free.
