Bee Well Crafternoons – Gorton

Bee Well Crafternoons is a 10 week ONLINE creative sewing course for adults facing mental health challenges.

The digital course will be led by a Stitched Up tutor and will focus on creativity and resourcefulness using reclaimed materials.

Over the 10 week course we will be learning different textile craft skills, including knitting, crochet, hand sewing, visible mending, darning, embroidery, applique, needle felting and more.

Although this years group will be based online you will recieve hand delivered craft packs from your friendly Stitched Up tutor paired with weekly Zoom meet ups. The group will provide a safe and supportive environment in which to learn and share new skills and get to know peers in your community with common interests and who face similar issues.

While the initial few sessions will follow a pre-prepared learning plan, as the programme progresses and the group gets to know one another, we will be encouraging YOU to shape the course content. We’ll be asking for input on the textile crafts you’d like to learn, and inviting you to share your own skills with the group – if you feel confident to do so (no pressure though!).

The group check in and troubleshoot sessions will take place weekly online where we can all meet for a catch up and go through our craft packs together.
