During Sustainable Fashion Week, we held our second #StitchItDontDitchIt event on Market Street in Manchester. It’s an international event with groups of stitchers gathering on high streets across the UK and the world. Read more about the international Street Stitching movement.

#StitchItDontDtch it is not a protest, but a joyful rebellion, mending our clothes right on the doorstep of fast fashion.
During Tuesday’s event we had loads of converations with passersby about clothes repair, how to do it, why we do it, and why we were sat in the street doing it! Quite a few people asked us to darn their socks for them(!), and plenty more said they’d join us if they had something with them that needed fixing.
We see lots more Street Stitching on the horizon, so if you’d be interested in joining us next time, drop us a line!
Here are a few photos from the day.
