This week is Volunteers’ Week, and all week we will be celebrating the huge contribution made by volunteers both to the work of Stitched Up and the third sector in general.
Every day we will be sharing the thoughts of our amazing, enthusiastic team of volunteers, who help out with everything from events, workshops, admin and outreach.
Today we hear from Felicity, who joined our team fairly recently but has already made a huge difference assisting us with our Etsy store and workshop prep.
Felicity says she started volunteering with us “to contribute to a great, local sewing-related cause close to my heart! Ifeel involved in the collective side of what I usually do on my own, plus I’ve met some lovely people with sewing expertise I hope to gain knowledge from.”
To anyone considering volunteering, she says: “If you have a little time to offer, do it!”
