We’re delighted to be taking part in Manchester Museum’s next After Hours event.
After Hours is a monthly event held in the evening, where adults can explore the museum’s collections and an exciting programme of events based around a theme.
March’s theme is Fair Trade, fashion, food and film and is held in partnership with Unchosen Film Campaigns and the Whitworth Art Gallery’s Cotton Global Threads Exhibition.
The event is on Thursday 29th March from 6:30pm – 9pm, and is completely FREE!
Unchosen is the only film campaign in the UK that concentrates solely on human trafficking, and incorporates discussion and Q&As with the directors. The initiative aims to make people aware that slavery still exists in the 21st century, and to show them how they can get involved in stamping it out. To that end, Unchosen also looks at the issues that surround human trafficking, including fair trade, poverty and immigration.
Throughout the evening you can explore the Museum’s Living Cultures, Manchester and Money galleries and discover links between the Museum’s collection, cotton and textiles; refashion pre-loved clothes with the help of US!; or handle some Museum objects.
There will also be a live performance, film screening and panel discussion.

It’d be great to see you there!
